Before Christmas Haworth Parish Church members Averil Kenyon (The Bronte Spirit Chairman) and John Huxley undertook an extended tour of South East Asia and Australasia. On the trip they accumulated 3,000 plus photographs and it occurred to the that these images might be put to some use.
So they decided to hold an illustrated talk using some of the photographs entitled: “Elephants, Whales and the King of Tonga!” at the Old School Room, Church Street, Haworth at 7.30pm on Saturday, March 17th.
Given the Old School Room’s original 1832 roof is now in serious need of repair and restoration, they decided to dedicate any money raised by the talk to the charity in charge of the building, The Brontë Spirit.
Admission will be £5 which will include some light refreshments.
